How do I get my catch home?
Homer Fishing Charters offers cleaning, vacuum packing and freezing of your catch down to the fine details for shipping. The base cost to vacuum pack and freeze is $1.05 per pound. (The weight is based on cleaned fish not the whole fish weight.) We will prep your fish for pick up from the boat and ready it for your departure from your stay. We can also ship Fed Ex if you choose to go that route. Even if you take the fish as excess baggage it is cheaper than shipping Fed Ex. Usually, we suggest taking your fish with you as baggage on the plane so when packing, keep this in mind. Even if you take the fish as excess baggage it may be cheaper than shipping Fed Ex. Fish boxes of all sizes are available to get your fish home whether you choose to ship or take it with you. Insulated box prices range from $7 - $29.
